All the papers in our books contain recycled and FSC stock. Our paper is an environmentally responsible paper made carbon neutral. The greenhouse gas emissions of the manufacturing process including transportation of the finished product has been measured by the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Management (ECCM) and offset by the Carbon Neutral Company and the fibre source has been independently certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
The Hugonauts books only use soy ink. Soy ink is a kind of ink made from soybeans, as opposed to traditional petroleum-based ink, soy-based ink is more environmentally friendly
The Hugonauts aim to ensure that the production of our books leaves as little foot print on the environment possible.
The print facilities the Hugonauts use are PEFC and FSC approved. They all have environmental programs to ensure the reclaiming and recycling all paper products, and the recycling aluminium printing plates, glass, tin, paper and plastic packaging, timber pallets, computer components and ink cartridges
