Oseye, the Ostrich Facts:
- Is the tallest and heaviest of all birds. Stands up to 2.7 meters (9ft) tall, and can weigh as much as 159kg (350 pds).
- Even though it's a bird it does not fly. Instead it runs up to 64km/h (40miles/hr).
- It has long, strong legs. One stride can cover up to 4.9 meters (16 ft) – that’s the length of a car!
- One ostrich egg is about as big as 24 chicken eggs. It would take about 40 minutes to hard-boil an ostrich egg. Bacon and Eggs anyone?
