Lisimba, the Lion

Lisimba, the Lion Facts:

• Second largest big cat species in the world (behind tigers).
• Can reach speeds of up to 81kph (50 mph) but only in short bursts because of a lack of stamina. Rests for around 20 hours per day – sleepy heads!
• Its roar can be heard from 8km (5.0 miles) away. Block your ears.
• Lionesses do most of the hunting for a group of lions called a pride.
