Jahi, the Giraffe

Jahi, the Giraffe Facts:

• Stands 5–6m (16-20ft) tall making it the tallest animal in the world.
• Although a giraffe’s neck contains the same number of back bones (vertebrae) as a human neck, it is over 1.5 meters (5ft) long. Can you stretch yours that far?
• Its tail hair is about 10 times thicker than the average strand of human hair. Just imagine getting knots out of that!
• Has a bluish-purple tongue which is tough and covered in bristly hair to help them eat thorny acacia trees.
